Building a Solid Foundation for Lasting Transformation…
When I meet with a new client I always begin with a simple conversation, actually more of a checklist that helps me paint the full picture of where they are today, what brought them here, and what obstacles may be interfering with their goals.
Every person’s journey is unique, but the questions I ask help lay the foundation for sustainable change.
Why are you seeking this service?
Understanding the “why” behind someone’s decision to invest in their health is key. It’s more than just wanting to lose weight or eat better. I want to know what’s driving the desire, what’s at stake, and what matters most to them.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how motivated are you to make a change?
This is a big one! This number gives us a baseline for readiness. A “4” tells me something very different than an “8”. Motivation fluctuates, and my job is to help raise it through clarity, confidence, and support.
What are your goals?
Vague goals like “get healthier” aren’t enough. We dig into specifics, whether it’s sleeping better, managing stress, improving energy, or building confidence. Goals become our compass.
What obstacles are you running into?
It’s important to name the roadblocks: time, stress, lack of support, self-doubt. These aren’t weaknesses, they’re real life challenges that need real life strategies.
After we’ve explored these foundational areas, I take it one step deeper. I ask about your daily structure.
What does your routine look like?
How do you structure your time?
What does your support system look like?
Are you constantly reacting to stress, or are you creating space for what matters?
These may appear to be simple lifestyle questions, but they reveal a lot. Too often, our days are controlled by circumstances, not intention. We fall into a reactive mode - responding to every email, crisis, or demand without ever checking in on our own priorities. This kind of living drains us. It creates stress, anxiety, feelings of helplessness, and eventually, burnout or depression.
When we shift from reactive to proactive living, we regain control. We become intentional with our time, energy, and focus. We create space for what really matters: health, relationships, purpose, and peace.
Once we begin to understand how we’re moving through the world - what we believe in, what we avoid, what we prioritize, we begin to reclaim our power.
We shift from:
Autopilot to Intention
Overwhelm to Clarity
Reaction to Response
Survival to Creation
This is what Imperfect Odyssey is about - not just helping you eat better and move more, but helping you live more fully, joyfully, and deliberately.
Transformation begins with Awareness!
